Many revile at the site or name of Police. But as we were thankful for fire fighters we also should be grateful and thankful for police in the world. Now I know their is a generalized negative sentiment against the profession that waxes and wanes. But if you have ever been in trouble and had the police show up you know what I mean. If you have ever had stuff stolen and later found by the police then you know what I mean. If you have ever been in a abusive relationship and constantly being battered and finally said enough is enough. Most likely the police escorted you to safety or stopped another person from causing harm to you. There is also an element in all societies that are harmful to humanity and if unchecked would run rampant. So the next time you see a police person why not stop and give them thanks for all they do.
