Social Musings 101: Avalanche and Everest Avalanche 2014

If you have ever been some where with a great amount of snow this thought may have run through your head once or twice. The subject is an avalanche. Avalanches are pretty scary and start from out of no where. Once they get going stand by. Enjoy this clip of a controlled Avalanche.

Now others times they happen out of no where. With no where to run or hide. It reminds me of the unpredictability of life in a way. This is a video of the Avalanche in April of 2014 at Mount Everest. May the 16 people that dies rest in peace.

Today we recognize the power and greatness of nature and we also take our hats off to those involved in the search and rescue of the survivors of the Avalanche. We also think all the designers of hiking equipment and safety devices and walkie talkies and emergency beacons that helped the rescuers pinpoint the location of the disaster. On that note be grateful for all that you have. Have a great day. JJ

People Who Have Contributed to Society………

So the next person on the list of people who have contributed to society is Clara Barton. Clara Barton traveled overseas and was doing humanitarian work and decided to bring the Red Cross to the U.S. Clara Barton responded to the first two majors U.S disasters the Thumb fire and Johnstown Flood. So Clara after those disasters instead of having random people helping had an organization that was organized and able to give people Hope when they needed it the most. How many times not only here but in the world has the red cross shown up to help people with water, clothes, food and money. Plus the red cross that collects blood saves a lot of lives through blood transplants and what not……so thanks again Clara…read more about Clara’s contribution to society here….Click the link.
